This pattern is a perfect stash buster project! Any Sport (4 ply) weight yarn can be used. Yarn I have used:
Drops Design Safran 4 ply (100% Cotton, 50g/100m)

The finished dimensions are:
6cm (2.4in) across x 5cm (2in) high (including blood droplets) x 1.5-2cm (0.6-0.8in) wide (including either pencil top or party prop dowel holder)
