My very first design, I’m inspired by images of vast evergreen forests. The smell of pine trees, the crunch of soft snow underfoot, the cold wind, the hush of winter… That’s the Vastwood.

The Vastwood beanie features a pine tree motif that looks great on anyone of any age. It’s a super fun, quick knit, designed to be a gateway drug to Fair Isle knitting. It has become my go-to design for gifting warm knit hats to friends and family.

Made with 2 colors of worsted weight yarn (or 3 if you’d like a contrasting brim).

Requires needles in US 7 and 10.5.
