This is the cardigan version of Cabled Bottom-Up Sweater pattern from Banul. Made with 100% cotton Vegetable yarn, it features crisp stitch definition and a cool, textured finish. The body and sleeves are each worked separately and seamed together using the bottom-up method. Unlike top-down garments, which require minimal finishing, this style involves more complex construction and seaming — but allows for a structured shoulder line and clean silhouette that only bottom-up construction can provide. The pattern includes instructions for sizes XS, M, and L. Due to the nature of the cable pattern, it is not adaptable to other sizes. We recommend this pattern for knitters who are comfortable distinguishing between right and wrong sides of their work. Please note that this is not a full video tutorial. A partial technique video is provided for reference only. Only the front panel construction has been modified from the original pullover to include a button band. If you’ve previously knitted the Cabled Bottom-Up Sweater (including the short-sleeved version), you’ll find this project easy to complete.
This pattern includes reference videos for selected steps.
