Velvet Wombat
Velvet Wombat is a lovely small version of one of the cuttest animals in Australia. It is nice to cuddle and take in bed to relax.
The pattern requires basic crocheting and sewing skills. It includes a few illustrations that show how to perform some elements.
Yarn
Gray velvet yarn, 100 g / 120 m. E.g. Yarnart Dolce, 100% micropolyester, color 754, 1,5 skeins.
Black yarn, 100 g / 170 m. E.g. Alize Superlana Midi, 25% wool, 75% acrylic, color 60.
Materials and tools
Scissors
Large eye yarn needle
Hand sewing needle
Sewing pins
Filler for stuffing
Hooks 3.5 mm (for the tip of the nose), 6 mm (main)
2 black flatback pearls or safety eyes 13 mm in diameter
Transparent glue (if needed for the eyes)
Pink embroidery floss or yarn (for the mouth)
Black thin sewing threads (for the mouth)
White thin sewing threads (for sewing the parts together)
Contrasting thread as a marker for the beginning of the round
