Venice is a city with a air of mystery and a rich history, knitted together with the greenish-blue waters of the Adriatic Sea. The pattern of this cowl echoes the ornamentation of Venetian buildings, or the fine clothes of Venetian Carnevale.

Finished Size
24” circumference, 9 1/2” tall after blocking
You can make a larger size by doing one more pattern repeat. The bobble border can be added to both top and bottom hem. These additions will definitely take you into that second skein of yarn.

Yarn
Malabrigo “Rios” (100% Superwash Merino wool, 3.5 oz./210 yds)
1-2 skeins in Teal Feather #412
OR 220 yds of any good quality worsted weight wool or alpaca yarn
Please be aware that I used up the entire skein on this project. If you want to be extra sure of having enough, buy that extra skein, or do one less pattern repeat for a slightly shorter cowl.

Gauge is not critical for this pattern, however, any change in gauge will alter the quantity of yarn needed for this project.

Happy knitting!
