This is a very simple shawl design that gives you a framework to get creative and make your own VERSION based on what you have in your stash. When you purchase this pattern, you get the steps to create not one, but THREE different shawls:

The Scrappy One
Pull together all your yarn scraps and fade, stripe or colour block them together. Knit on 7mm needles to create an airy, light fabric for Summer.

The One with the Hoarded Skein
We all have that one special skein we’ve had in our stash for years, almost paralysed with fear over using it because nothing will ever be GOOD ENOUGH! Trust me, it will make you feel awesome to bring it into the light and get making with it!

The Stripey One
Tweak the pattern a bit and add a second, contrasting skein. Not only did I contrast colours in my version, but I also used a contrasting texture - makes for a super smooshy, light shawl!

There are countless other ways you can get creative when making your VERSION - use a different needle size to create a different fabric, add a border to the shawl when you’re finished (I’m looking at you, crocheted pom pom border!), changing the edging from an iCord to a picot. Anything is possible!

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET MAKING
Needles

  • 5mm (60cm Circular) needles for The Stripey One
  • 7mm (60cm Circular) needles for The Scrappy One and The One with the Hoarded Skein.

Yarn
Each shawl is 100% customisable - you can bind off at any point, making it as big as you like or as small as you like. The Yarn requirements below are what I used for my shawls.

  • 100g of Sock Weight/4ply Yarn (The Scrappy One and The One with the Hoarded Skein.)
  • 2 x 100g Skeins of Sock Weight/4ply Yarn (The Stripey One).

Other Materials

  • AT LEAST 20 stitch markers (more if you make yours bigger than mine!).
  • Tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
