This is a tapestry crochet pattern, starting at the bottom righthand corner. The only stitch used in this pattern is single crochet, alternating direction each time. It is made using five colors (A, B, C, D, E). There are different methods for alternating colors. For the original pattern, the author used different balls of yarn for each column. Finished dimensions will vary, depending on yarn weight, tension, and hook size. Wash instructions vary based on yarn type; follow yarn manufacturer’s instructions. Original yarn chosen was (A) Caron One Pound in Cream, (B) Bernat Super Value in Lilac, (C) Bernat Super Value in Teal Heather, (D) Bernat Super Value in Cool Blue, and (E) Caron One Pound in Med Grey Mix. If this is a beginner project, choose plain yarns of identical weight and complimentary colors.
While this pattern was intended to be used as a crochet pattern, it can also be used for cross-stitch, knitting, embroidery, or other similar fibrecrafts.
