Verticowl is a fun and super-versatile cowl, using a set of mini skeins and knit in the round using the helical or helix knitting technique to create perfect jogless micro stripes – at 28cm (11in) wide and 40cm (16in) high, it’s just right for keeping your neck super cosy and warm.

If you use, as I did, minis that complement each other well, you’ll get a really subtle fade. Equally you could opt for high contrast yarns for a shifting barber pole effect. The possibilities are truly endless!
