This DK (8 ply) beanie uses stranded colorwork with a corrugated ribbing band featuring a vertical pattern. Only two colours are used per row, and there are no floats to catch, making it beginner-friendly and ideal for those new to stranded knitting or just looking for something easy and fun to do. It also gives off Brioche vibes without all the effort.

It is also ideal for using up left over yarn or mini skeins or gradient sets. Feel free to substitute colours from your stash and make something unique. The corrugated ribbing can be replaced with a plan ribbing if you prefer. It comes in sizes Small to Large to fit 52.5 cm (21”) to 57.5 cm (23¼“) head.
I’ve used Bendigo Wollen Mills Classic 8 ply but any equivalent DK / 8ply will be fine. Bendigo Classic comes in 200g/400m balls.

Colours: Hunter 753, Kelly Green 781, and Pale Eucalypt 745
You will need approximately 25 g or 50m (0.9 oz or 55 yds) of each colour for all sizes.
This is a two stitch, 24 row repeating pattern that makes modifications easy.
