This knitting pattern is an original design, shown here in Paton’s Ballybrae, which is no longer available as far as I know - unfortunately. It was a heavy weight worsted with a tweedy finish.

The vest is knit in pieces and then seamed. There is a knit-on I-cord around the front & neck edge as well as around each armhole.

Finished Measurement:

Sm - 39 1/2” (100.50cm)
Med - 43 1/2” (110.50cm)
Lge - 48” (122cm)
XL - 52” (132cm)

Needles Used:

US-5 (3.75mm)
US-7 (4.50mm)
US-5 (3.75mm) 29” (73.50cm) circular needle

You will also need an open ended zipper for the front closure.
