Victorian Domino Square
I combined a popular Victorian welt pattern with a domino square. I cast on 51 stitches but you can cast on any large odd number of stitches to begin. There are 6 pattern rows. The piece won’t look like a square until blocked aggressively. Any combination of yarn and needles will work.
The white swatch is 4 inches square and the green swatch is 7.25 inches square.
Skills needed: cast on, knit, purl, YO, p2tog and k3tog.
Gauge is not important in this pattern. Any block-able yarn/thread will work. Make a swatch to check gauge and appearance.
27 yards of Aunt Lydia’s Classic 10 thread will make a 51-stitch Victorian Domino Square at gauge.
52 yards of Lily’s Sugar and Cream yarn will make a 51-stitch Victorian Domino Square at gauge.
