This is a cute fun knit in fingering weight/4 ply yarn. The slip stitches and stripes make for easy colour work. The overall effect varies greatly depending on colour. Choose bold contrast for an op art effect, or play it down with a subtle difference. I like both!
These are designed to be on the longer side to give good warmth, but you can easily make them shorter if desired (or you are short of yarn!)
There are three sizes, child, teenage/small adult and large adult. The child and small adult sizes take approx 30 grams of one colour and 20 or the other. There its possible to get two pairs of mitts (reversing the colour way) out of two 50 gram balls. The larger size takes more like 40 grams one colour and 30 grams of the other.
They are intentionally knitted at quite a tight gauge to keep out the cold.
Have fun
