Vinda Shawl
A few months back, I designed some socks for a friend who retired and named them after her horse, Vinda. This shawl was created using a modification of the stitch pattern I used for the socks. The body of the shawl is worked top-down in garter stitch and then the lacy edging is worked sideways and connects as you knit so there is minimal bind-off and no sewing! The pattern is adjustable for an average skein of sock yarn (400 yards) and up depending on what size you want, it also includes both written and charted instructions.
