Approximately 5 yds worsted weight (size 4) yarn, but yardage varies by your length of cord - mine were about 3 ft. long.

Hook Size
3.5mm is recommended, but anywhere between 3 mm and 4.25mm will likely work, as long as you err on the side of tighter stitches.
