These socks are knitted from the top down. After the leg is finished, a fleegle heel is worked across the first half of the stitches. It begins with increases and the bottom of the heel is created with decreases and short rows. The foot is knitted in a rib pattern across the instep and in stockinette stitch on the sole. The toe sts are grafted together at the end.

About the sizes: These socks are very stretchy due to the rib pattern and will fit a wide range of feet. You can also adjust your gauge, and thus the size of the sock, by using smaller or larger needles. The foot length is fully adjustable, with yardage given for shoe size 37 (42) / UK4 (UK9) / US6 (US11).
