The shawl is worked from the bottom up, i.e. from the tip at the center of the shawl. Increases are worked on each side on every other row, and a beautiful textured pattern that is easy to memorize. The yarn, needle size and gauge given in the pattern are only guidelines, and you can easily work the shawl to the desired size, and with a different gauge and needle size depending on the yarn of your choice. The shawl in the pictures measures 148 cm in length and 78 cm in width, and is worked with two strands of Soft Fine in color E7S and one strand of Tvinni in color 7s.
