This pattern is available from yarnquarium.etsy.com for $7.50.

This pattern uses the double knitting technique to create a reversible scarf with different wading bird species on it. The scarf features 22 species, including herons, egrets, rails, sandpipers, and more. A full species key can be found at the end of the pattern.

The pattern is in english and includes charts for the color work and brief descriptions of techniques. I would recommend that you are familiar with double knitting before beginning. The cast on, edge, and bind off methods used can be substituted for whichever methods you prefer.

Finished scarf dimensions: 67” x 7”

Materials needed:
DK/light yarn in 2 colors, ~350 yd of each
3.50 mm (US 4) knitting needles (or whatever is needed to obtain desired gauge)
Yarn needle to weave in ends
Stitch markers (optional)
