Waffle is a shallow triangular, reversible scarf. For the sample, Malabrigo Rios in the colours Piedras and Aguas was used. The sample used 90g of each colour.

Sample size: 1.80m / 5’11” x 25.5cm / 10”

The slip-stitch design creates a beautiful texture that is identical on both sides. One only knits with one colour at a time, changing the colour every two rows. Each side features one of the two colours as the main player, while the other adds small accents, making the pattern a great opportunity for colourful, variegated yarns. An I-cord edge makes for a cute and neat finish.

The stitches and techniques used are not difficult, but changes between knit and purl rows and slipping the stitches with the yarn in front or in back require attention to detail. Mistakes will show in the colour distribution.

The scarf is knitted flat from corner to corner. The length is easily adjustable to the knitter’s wishes.
