The Walking Rainfall Shawl captures the feel of walking rain, a beautiful sight in the desert southwest. This crescent-shaped shawl has increases only on the sides (KYOKs), making for a relaxing knit. Purl bands give textural interest to the upper part of the shawl; the lower part is an easy-to-knit eyelet lace pattern that creates the slanting lines of “walking rainfall.”

Finished size: wingspan of about 67” and about 12” deep.

Yarn: one hank of fingering weight yarn (about 400 yards). The one shown was knitted in Vortex Yarns Mandala in color Lupine.

Needles: 24-32” circular needle in size 6.
