Having made the cowl I decided to make matching gloves, so here they are.
I wanted a closer knit for the gloves so used a smaller needle, this made sure the pattern was repeated and shown to its best. You could use a larger needle to increase the size of the glove if your hands are larger than mine.
I hate sewing up so knitted these in the round, with a gusset for the thumb to make a nice fit.
My wool was from my huge stash, but any nice 4 ply, sock yarn or fingering weight will work well.
My cowl used 42g and each mitt 20g so if you wanted longer gloves you could easily add more pattern rows before the thumb gusset and still have enough yarn for the set out of 100g.
