WanderKnit™ - Jampa Socks
Come travel with us! Discover, learn, and become inspired by our destination-themed quarterly WanderKnit™ packages.
Meaning kindness and benevolence, ”Jampa” is a popular girl’s name in Bhutan. The pattern design was inspired by the bold colors and intricate motifs woven into traditional Bhutanese textiles. The varying widths of the stripes represent the warp threads while the textures in each stripe emulate how weft threads are used to create embedded motifs.
The stitchwork in the first half of the sock is mirrored in the second half to give the fabric a visual balance. Featuring a wool-free wonder yarn—HiKoo® CoBaSi DK combines cotton, silk, bamboo, and nylon for a cool, lightweight sock suitable for all seasons.
