Warm Hearted Hat is a simple colorwork hat that will warm your head and your heart with its sweet motif!

This pattern has been tested.

Sizes
XS (S, M, L, XL) provide options for toddlers through adults, fitting heads roughly 17-19” (18-20”, 20-22”, 21-23”, 22-24”) at a gauge of 20 sts and 28 rows over 4” stockinette in the round.

Yarn
Works up beautifully in a DK or lighter worsted yarn. Pictured in Malabrigo Rios (blue and pink version) and in Madelinetosh tosh dk (turquoise and white version). Playing with yarn weight may impact your finished hat size, so factor that in when picking a size.

You’ll need two colors of DK or light worsted (regular worsted will also work, adjust needle size to achieve gauge):
Color A: body - 80-150yds (40-70g)
Color B: hearts, contrast brim - 40-65yds (20-30g)

Yardage requirements vary with tension and size knitted.

Notes
Be sure to keep your floats loose while knitting the color work sections! This tutorial gives some great hints.

Consider a three-color version, and finish with a pompom if you wish!
