This is a stranded knit hat in multiple colors inspired by the wing warmers in Rebecca Elliot’s Owl Diaries Warm Hearts Day. My kindergartener was inspired and helped me make sure the design was perfect.

It is knit using Knit Picks Mighty Stitch in Gulfstream (blue), Eggplant (purple), Canary (yellow), Love Letter (red), and Macaw (green). I used about 100 yds of blue and purple, 50 yds of yellow, 10 of red, and 3 of green. We added a pom-pom because pom-poms are cool.

Brim is folded and stitched into place. Instructions included to do this without scrap yarn, but you’re welcome to do a provisional cast on if that’s your jam.
