Washed out is a stunning asymmetrical triangle shawl with faded stripes and lace.

I chose a faded progression of colors for my sample, but we tried it in different combinations, and we decided that any order and combination looks great! Wheter it’s a fade or not.
The stripes in this pattern will make your colors melt together as you make your way to the final and most stunning part of this project: The lace edging.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
120” (3m) from side to side and 27” (68 cm) from top to bottom at deepest point.

MATERIALS
Yarn: 3 skeins of Classic Sock by Yarn Ink (75% merino / 25% nylon, 100g / 463y 423m) or 1200 yards of fingering weight yarn in 3 different colors.
Note about yardage: You will need at least 440 yards for COLOR 2, so make sure your skein is big enough before starting! COLORS 1 and 3 take less yardage, so most 400 yard skeins will be enough for these 2.
I chose 3 colors that could be arranged in a faded progression. Color 1: Slate (Gray); Color 2: Jazz (Multicolor-gray/purple); Color 3: Breathless (white with multicolor speckles.
Needles: US 6 (4mm) needles.
Other notions: Tapestry needle, blocking pins or wires.

GAUGE
16 sts and 32 rows to 4” (10cm) in garter st on US 6 (4 mm) needles after blocking.
Gauge is not crucial for this project, but changes might result in a different yardage requirement.
