Wave Run Cowl
…….
Sometimes variations on a theme can yield unexpectedly fresh results. For me, deconstructing the nautical aesthetic led to this playful vertical waves design.
This pattern is also a response to those knitters who were keen to try the waves, but were not garment or sock knitters.
A short and sweet instalment in the Irish Waves collection, the Wave Run cowl is knitted flat, like a scarf, then grafted closed. The striking waves motif is made with simple increases and decreases, making this a quick and addicting knit, fun to try in different colour combinations.
This pattern includes a chart, as well as written instructions.

Yarn Selection
Select MC and CC with sufficiently high contrast.
Note that selecting a yarn toward the sport weight end of the spectrum will result in a cowl with more drape; selecting a yarn toward the light-DK end of the spectrum will result in a cowl with denser fabric.
