A rectangular, lightly beaded stole designed for mohair/silk blend yarn, long enough to wrap twice as a cowl or wear straight. The wave and shield pattern (from Barbara Walker’s 1968 book of knitting patterns) creates slightly puffy motifs in mohair and looks nice in variegated yarn. More beads can be added if desired, but their weight may distort the shape of the garment.

As designed, the stole is 20cmx133cm, but 16-row repeats can be added or subtracted as desired for length. A 4,5mm or larger needle is suggested to obtain an airy, open gauge. A small (0,75 or 1,0mm) crochet needle is used to place beads during knitting (video included). One skein of Lana Grossa Silkhair is enough for the project as pictured.
