Here is an easy pattern for a retro baby blanket in two color ways. The Wavy Ripple Baby Blanket pattern is easy enough for a beginner. The blanket is made with 6 colors of aran/worsted weight (Size 4) yarn and a Size K crochet hook.

The yarn used in the blue blanket is Caron Simply Soft in White, Berry Blue, Orchid, Pistachio, Blue Mint and Lavender Blue. You will need 1 skein of each color.

The pink blanket uses White, Soft Pink, Heather Gray, Strawberry, Orchid and Lavender Blue. You will need 1 skein of each color.

The crochet stitches used are chain, slip stitch, double crochet and double crochet three together (DC3TOG). The DC3TOG is explained in the pattern. There is also an explanation on how to change colors.

The finished blanket measures 26” wide by 35” long.
