Even if you aren’t local, it might be the perfect escape - grab a few knitter friends and have a wonderful road trip weekend to decompress after such a year! The passport is attached and if you visit enough of the shops – you could win over $500 in gift cards to the participating shops!! You can also find kits or other perfect yarn for Wayside Waves at any of these participating shops!

Wayside Waves is the 2021 Greater Boston Yarn Crawl Pattern! Make it now and wear it as you crawl and pick up some goodies along the way just for wearing your finished shawl to the shops!

Wayside Waves can be made with any gauge of yarn and to any size. For fingering weight yarns, use a US Size 4. For sport, use a US 6. For DK, use a US 7. Continue the Wave sections until your shawl is a couple of inches shorter than your desired length. Work one more garter wave, then work the bind off. You can use 2 solids, a solid and a gradient, or two gradients – really anything you want!
