The Weaver hooded cowl is an oversized cowl that you can style in different ways. Perfect for an evening out or to cozy up on your couch, it is a light fabric with magnificent drape while still warm and fluffy.

Packed with stunning texture creating four different woven-looking stitches, combined with a delicate lace, and featuring a charming tarantula on the side of the hood (look at her! isn’t she beautiful?) which shows only when the hood is on.

This is a written pattern that uses US English terminology, and both metric and imperial measurement systems. You will get one file that contains the pattern notes, gauge, materials, size schematic, stitch glossary, and the written pattern, including instructions to modify the cowl’s length, and a second file containing photos of my sample and those made by my testers, as well as a photo tutorial for the tarantula, plus photos to help with some tricky rows on the cowl.

For this pattern you’ll need 1,200-1,220m (1,310-1,335yds) of sport weight yarn. Following the pattern as is written, the hood will measure 44cm (15.7in) tall and 33cm (13in) wide when folded in half, and the cowl will measure 48cm (19 in) deep and 220cm (87in) in circumference).
