Needles

  • 24” & 32” (40” for larger sizes) circular needles in size US 6 (4 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
  • 24” circular needles in size US 4 (3.5 mm) OR US 5 (3.75 mm) or 1-2 size(s) smaller than size used for gauge: See Notes.
  • 12” OR 16” circular needle in US 6 (4 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge, for sleeves.

Gauge
Yarn A: 21sts and 26 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Slipped Lace St on larger size needle, after wet-blocking.
Yarn B: 22.5 sts and 28 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch on larger size needle, after wet-blocking.

This pullover is knit top down, starting with the Slipped Lace Stitch in Rain for the yoke. After joining Yarn B, you will separate for the sleeves, placing those stitches on hold until the body is completed.The sleeves are worked once the body is completed.
