Western Girls
I love the idea of easy, instant gratification type patterns and if you are an advanced beginner, then this is for you!
The best part about this mitten design is there is no thumb gusset. Easy peasy, right? Yes, it is. You can do it and soon you’ll be making mitts by the dozens.
Color combinations are endless and this is a great stash buster.
For my sample I used Malabrigo Washted. I would suggest using a Worsted weight yarn instead. While it worked out just fine and it made a wonderfully warm mitt it did “grow” if you will, and I think Worsted weight is the way to go. I believe on their tag it says it’s comparable to worsted weight but in my experience Washted is thicker than their Worsted. But by all means you can certainly make this with Washted if you like, just be aware you will end up with a bigger pair of mitts, which in some cases is fine.

Thank you!
