The Wheat and Breeze Bonnet is designed for summer. It features a longer front and shorter back, with ties that adapt to different weather conditions and allow multiple
wearing styles. The wheat and breeze pattern creates wheat-like eyelets and wavy brim shaping, making it cooler to wear and giving it a stylish silhouette.

Size
( xxs, xs, s ) ( m, l, xl ). Choose a size close to your actual head circumference; if between sizes, go up a size.

Yarn
Itobatake Blanket Washilily 60% paper, 40% cotton (100g/380m).
Yardage: ( 31, 33, 50 ) ( 55, 58, 63 )g, ( 118, 125, 190 ) ( 209, 220, 239 )m.
Or use other stiffer yarns, such as pure linen or raffia.
If using 3.5mm needles for size xs-xl, add up to 10g.

Needles
Size xxs:3.5mm needles; other sizes: 3.75mm needles.
Can be worked with: ①5 double-pointed needles(dpns); ② two pairs of circular needles of any length; ③ one pair of 80cm or longer circular needles.
If adding ribbon fasteners, also need a 2.5mm crochet hook.

Gauge
After washing and blocking,
with 3.5mm needles in Stockinette: 26 sts x 38 rows=10x10cm;
with 3.5mm needles in Stockinette: 24 sts x 36 rows=10x10cm.
Note: Washilily shrinks slightly after washing.

Notions and Other Materials
Eight stitch markers (one different from the rest as BOR).
One locking marker or waste yarn / stitch holder.
One tapestry needle.
⚠️1.2mm coated aluminum wire as brim wire.
You may substitute a long scarf, ribbon, or fabric strip for the knitted icord ties.

Construction
Work top-down in the round, increasing to shape the crown. The Wheat and Breeze pattern is introduced on the body. The brim is work flared. For all sizes except baby, it is recommended to add soft wire as brim stiffener. ⚠️Children under 12 should use the wire under adult supervision.
