All around our old home are fields that were often planted with wheat. We would watch, as the seasons changed, the colours go from green to gold. As the wind blew the wheat rippled like waves across an ocean. Nature’s ever changing art was and always will be a wonder and delight.

I am not a pattern designer, I simply enjoy playing around with stitches and seeing what happens. If you spot a mistake or have a question please send me a message.

Finished Size
25cm tall by 51cm around.

Materials Required.
245m/270yds DK yarn to knit the cowl as written.
4mm /US 6 50cm circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge.

Stitch markers, optional but useful.

Gauge.
22 stitches x 30 rows = 10cm in stocking stitch on 4mm needles.

Notes.
The cowl is written in a line by line format and knit from the bottom up.
I used the cable cast on and standard cast off.
Pattern repeat is 14 stitches x 16 rows.
With a tension square and a bit of maths this pattern is easily adapted to other yarn weights. I have written and posted an aran version already.
