Inspired by the most elusive of characters, and created as a quick knit for a Halloween costume. Made with tiny little no-cable-needle-required baby cables, the brim on this hat gives it a whimsical look when it’s rolled up. Plain stockinette makes up the cap and a huge pompom finishes it off.

Requirements:
1 skein of average worsted weight yarn of approx. 200yds in a main color
1 skein of average worsted weight yarn of approx. 200yds in a contrasting color
One set of 4 size 4.0mm double pointed needles or one size 4.0mm circular needle
Cable needle, totally optional
Stitch marker for beginning of round, also totally optional

Sizes: Pattern makes 2 sizes, one is a Baby size 3-12 months, the other is an Adult size OSFM

Gauge: 5 stitches per inch in stockinette

Notes: Either size hat will not use all the yarn. I used about ½ a skein of each to make the adult size hat, and used what was leftover of the main color from the adult size to knit the main color on the baby size. I just didn’t measure the yarn when I was done in the adult size to find out exactly what it used so it’s better safe than sorry.
