The Wild Geese DK Socks combine cozy comfort with an engaging knit! Work this playful, fun texture—inspired by a V formation of geese—from the toe-up. The DK yarn guarantees a speedy knit, while the design’s great-fitting heel and gusset ensure a perfect, foot-hugging fit.

The gorgeous yarn from Bramble Ridge was perfect to show up the fun texture. It is my favourite kind of sock with a little bit of interest but lots of plain knitting that shows off the yarn. Written and charted instructions are included with video tutorials to support the toe up construction.

Don’t have DK sock yarn? Grab some fingering weight yarn and hold it double to make your socks. Choose a fine fingering with yardage between 420 & 465 yards. If this is your first time knitting DK socks, check your gauge and size your needles accordingly.

The pattern looks great on lots of different types of yarn…Give it a try! Check out my tester’s project pages for inspiration.

The sock pattern comes in 3 sizes and is knit from the from the rounded toe up to a gusset with a heel flap for a great fit.

Huge thanks to my test knitters Leanne D, Heather J, Rochelle, Heather E., Marie, Leanne W, Jess, Lee, Natasha, Jenn, Mara and Josée for their feedback and their beautiful socks.
