With open lace, customizable shaping, and a touch of fringe, Wild Wind brings easygoing summer style to your needles. Knit flat from the top down in two pieces and seamed along the sides and shoulders, this tee is light, airy, and made for movement.
Go cropped or full length, fringe or no fringe, this is an approachable, stash friendly knit that’s easy to make your own.
Our sample was knit in Miss La Motte Merino Singles, a single ply fingering weight yarn with a subtle halo and beautiful stitch definition. The light hand and fluid drape make it a natural match for warm weather lace.
Design Details
The neckline is shaped as you go and finished with an i-cord edge. Two identical panels (front and back) are worked from the top down and then seamed at the shoulders and sides.
Top down construction makes it easy to adjust the body length. You can work a cropped version or extend it for more coverage. Optional fringe can be added at the hem after finishing.
Construction Overview
Wild Wind is worked flat in two identical top down panels (front and back), then seamed along the sides and shoulders. The neckline is shaped as you knit and finished with an i-cord.
Once assembled, the garment is blocked and optional fringe may be added.
