Wilder Jumper is a one-piece sweater, knitted top down, with a round yoke, using short rows, a lacy pattern for sleeves and a decorative ribbing. The best part: it requires no sewing!

Languages: EN, PL
Level: intermediate
The pattern includes: cast on, knit, purl, yarn over, increase (M1), decrease (k2tog), lace pattern (k5tog), working in the round, ribbing, knit through back loop, short rows, reading a simple chart.

All techniques used for the jumper are carefully explained and described. The pattern also contains a table with a detailed instruction on how to increase evenly (suggested but not obligatory). A graphic chart is used for the sleeves pattern and comes with a clear explanation of all symbols.

Sizes: S (M – L – XL)

Finished measurements:
Chest
S: 90–92 cm (35–36”)
M: 95–97 cm (37–38”)
L: 102–104 cm (40–41”)
XL: 108–110 cm (42.5–43.5”)
Length
S: 56 cm (22”)
M: 58 cm (23”)
L: 60 cm (23.5”)
XL: 62 cm (24.5”)

Note: the pattern was designed based on the metric system - any calculations to inches are only approximate.

Shown in size S on a 89 cm (35”) bust, knitted with Zwojki Wild Alpa yarn (100 g = 500 m), usage: approx. 900 m (180 g).

Gauge: 22 sts and 32 rows (10x10 cm - 4x4”)

The rows count for the gauge is not as important as the sts count, as the instructions are given based on the length of the piece in cm (or “). If you want to make sure the jumper fits well, keep the knitting tension to achieve the recommended 22 sts in 10 cm (4”).

Other yarns used and tested:
Drops Nord
Włóczki Warmii

You’ll need:

  • yarn + circular needles to achieve the suggested gauge
  • many markers (e.g. for the sleeve pattern and for short rows)
  • stitch holders

If you have any questions or need help with the pattern, I’ll be more than happy to help!

Happy knitting!
