Inspired by Scandinavian vintage design. You find these simple and bold flower designs on kitchen items to fabric ….

This project requires basic 2-color stranded work. There are the sections, you need to twist the working yarn and the carried yarn.

YARN
Any medium worsted weight yarn works.
The sample is knitted with Malabrigo “Rios” and Tosh “Vintage”. Both are from my stash yarn.
Below are the yardages for each color.

Main Color - 60 yards (Yellow)
CC A - 50 yards (Blue)
CC B - 40 yards (Coral)

This pattern also works well with just 2 colors, MC and CC.
MC - 60 yards
CC - 90 yards

NEEDLE
Please choose the needle size to obtain the correct gauge.
Gauge - 20 sts /4” in stranded color work after wet-blocking.

Suggested needle size:
US #6 or #7 - 20” long circular needles.
You can use 16” long, but 20” long works better to keep the right tension for this project.

If your purl sts are looser than knit sts, you may want to use one size smaller needle for the garter sts edgings.

The last photo is a cotton version using 8 different colors. Details are here.
