A charming pixie hat that is simple to knit and will make the little one’s eyes twinkle. This hat is intended to be playful while keeping ears and neck warm from the cold outside.

This pattern is knit with wool and silk mohair yarns held together to create a fabric with a soft aura. It has an I-Cord neckband with long ties and pom poms. I-cord can be tied into a bow or left hanging.

The hat is knit flat with U.S. Size 5 needles for the ribbing and changes to U.S. Size 6 needles for the body of the hat. After knitting the hat, it is seamed up the back and an attached i-cord is knit to finish the hat using U.S. Size 5 dpn’s to create the wonderful ties for the pom poms.

Step by step pictures in pattern and video tutorial resources are included for I-Cord and Attached I-Cord .

Yardage used is about 100-150 yard of wool and of mohair. You will have mohair left over.
