The Willow Collar is a feminine, versatile accessory featuring a delicate lace pattern inspired by the graceful, cascading branches of willow trees.
Knitted seamlessly from the top down, the design combines an oversized collar with a beautiful textured lace pattern and a button band. Wear it buttoned up as a cozy neck warmer or leave it open as an elegant statement collar.
The pattern is available in two sizes and offers two different body lengths, allowing you to choose between a shorter collar version or a longer version that can also be worn around the waist. The longer version is finished with four optional I-cords that can be tied at the sides.
The Willow pattern is worked over 8 stitches and is provided both as a chart and as written instructions, making it easy to follow whichever method you prefer.

CONSTRUCTION
The Willow Collar is worked seamlessly from the top down.
You begin with the collar and button band, then work the shoulder and front/back sections separately before joining the front panels. The body is shaped with decreases for the shorter version, while the longer version is worked to the desired length and finished with optional I-cords.
The button band is worked with short rows to keep it growing at the same rate as the rest of the collar. Buttonholes are placed approximately every 7 cm.
The pattern includes charts for both sizes as well as written instructions for the Willow lace pattern.
