RIBBON MINI SCARF
The Ribbon Mini Scarf is a delicate little accessory designed to add a playful and feminine detail to your everyday wardrobe.
The scarf is worked from both ends. One end is shaped into a small loop, while the opposite end is worked into a delicate leaf-shaped tip that is sewn securely to the loop. The result is a unique ribbon-like scarf that can be tied around your neck in a simple and elegant way.
The scarf features a delicate lace pattern and I-cord edges, giving the narrow silhouette a neat and polished finish.
SIZE
One size.
The finished scarf measures approximately 65 cm / 25” in length and 7 cm / 3” in width.
The length can be adjusted to your own neck circumference. The pattern includes guidance on where to make adjustments, making it easy to create a comfortable fit.
YARN
The sample is knitted with Lana Grossa Ecopuno, single thread, 215 m / 50 g.
Approximately 90 m of yarn is required.
You can substitute the yarn with another yarn in the sport weight category.
NEEDLES
3 mm / US 2½ needles.
Use needles 1–2 sizes smaller than you would normally use for your yarn to create a firm fabric with good stitch definition.
GAUGE
26 sts x 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” in Ribbon pattern.
Exact gauge is not essential for this accessory.
CONSTRUCTION
The scarf is worked in two pieces, starting from each end.
The first piece forms the long section and is worked until the desired neck circumference is reached. The stitches are then decreased to create the small loop.
The second piece is worked from the opposite end and shaped into a leaf tip. The leaf is then sewn securely to the loop to complete the scarf.
The pattern includes written instructions and a chart for the lace pattern.
SKILL LEVEL
Intermediate.
You should be comfortable with increases and decreases, yarn overs, and basic lace techniques.
