The Willow top

Meet the Willow Top – an elegant summer knit, perfect for warm days and relaxed knitting.
Worked from the bottom up in the round in a breathable cotton–linen blend, it features a subtle botanical stitch pattern that adds texture and a soft, graceful drape.
At the underarms, the body is divided and worked flat, with shoulders joined using a three-needle bind-off for a clean finish. The neckline and armholes are finished with a refined stockinette edge and a stretchy bind-off.

To fit chest circumference 71-76 (81-86) 91.5-96.5 (101.5-106.5) 111.5-117 (122-127) cm / 28-30 (32-34) 36-38 (40-42) 44-46 (48-50) inches.
Designed for a fitted silhouette with ease built in. For a more relaxed look, simply choose one size up.

MATERIALS

Yarn
Worsted (9 WPI) or DK, approx. 250 (250) 300 (300) 350 (400) g of a cotton (cotton mix) yarn.
Samples are worked in Sandnes garn Line, 53% cotton, 33% viscose, 14% linen, 50 g ≈ 110 m / 120 yds in color 31611,
or DROPS Belle in a similar yardage (53% cotton, 33% viscose, 14%
linen; 50 g ≈ 120 m / 131 yds), color 24.

Needles and Notions
4 mm / US 6 80-100 cm / 32-40 inch circular needles for the body,
3.5 mm / US 4 circular needles for the hem, neckline, and armholes.
Cable needle, stitch markers, stitch holders, measuring tape.

GAUGE
23 stitches and 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches using 4 mm / US 6 needles.
Gauge was measured over the stitch pattern after washing and blocking.
For best results take the time to work a swatch, and wash and block it.
Suggested needle size is for guidance only: if necessary, adjust needle size to obtain the correct gauge.
