The Tides Top, Tee is elegant and refined. By using fine yarn combined with sequins, it has a chic look and a lightweight feel that is comfortable against the skin.

The top is knit bottom-up in the round in stockinette stitch at the front and in a lace/net pattern at the back up to the armhole. Then the front and back are divided and worked separately, with a V-shaped neckline at the front and a rounded neckline at the back.

The pattern includes instructions for two shoulder shaping options:

• a straight shoulder, which is easier for beginners,
• and shoulder shaping with short rows for a better fit.

It also includes two sleeve options:

• sleeveless with a simple finish in a few rounds of 1x1 ribbing,
• or short sleeves worked in the lace/net pattern from the back. Please keep in mind that if you choose the straight shoulder option, the sleeves will be slightly wider.

The shoulders are joined with a 3-needle bind-off. After that, stitches are picked up around the armhole and finished according to your chosen sleeve option.

The V-neckline is finished with a neat stockinette stitch edging.

26.5 stitches and 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches on 3.0 mm/US 2.5 needles, worked in rows in stockinette stitch, measured after blocking.

“MATERIALS”
Light Fingering Weight Yarn.

The samples were knitted using a combination of Cariaggi mix Cachmere SOL 2/28 30% cashmere, 10% silk, 60% merino superfine (1400 m / 100 g), and Cariaggi Linen Silk Pailettes 75% linen, 25% silk, pailettes 3 mm (650 m / 100 g) held together.

For sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL), you will need approximately 700 (780) 900 (1100) 1200 (1350) 1450 (1550) m of each yarn.

Needles and Notions
3.0 mm/US 2.5 circular needles for the body and optional short sleeves.
2.5 mm/US 1.5 circular needles for armhole and neckline finishing.
