Wind Drift Hat is inspired by a friend that doesn’t knit but does respect the craft and knows how much goes into it. She wanted something warm for her winter adventure travels and I wanted to try out some fun cabling. I designed and knit this during an east coast nor’easter where the wind was whipping making snow peaks in my yard. Knit in a simple rib brim folded over for extra warmth when the wind is blowing, and drift-like cables to form the pattern for the body of the hat.

Pattern Information
Knit in the round on circular needles (with magic loop or double pointed).

1 Skein (approx 200 yards) of bulky/chunky weight yarn. Pattern made in Brooklyn Tweed Quarry, geode color.
