This sock pattern is inspired by the song lyrics: “You turn me right round, baby right round”, it is a whirlwind which sends you on a winding path. This is a fun, feminine design, a good choice for gift knitting. I should add that it is a nod to Cookie A. who has inspired the whole world with her innovative sock designs.

Construction is toe-up knitted in the round with a GSR heel. Stitch markers make it easy to tell where you are in the pattern. After a short section of twisted 1x1 rib the top of the sock is finished using a stretchy bind off. The pattern is delicate Estonian lace. It includes a method of making 2 stitches out of 3, effectively decreasing one stitch. If you have never heard of such a thing don’t worry because it is incredibly simple. You’ll wonder why no-one has done that before!
