This is a written pattern for a windspinner. Several pictures are added to show how it should look like.

For this windspinner I used acrylic yarn, Stylecraft Special dk or similar, which is about 300 meter/328 yards per 100 gram.
I needed about 75 meter/82 yards of yarn. I used 8 different colors for the rainbow version.

Cotton yarn can be used instead, if you like.
This is a yarn-only project.

I used hooksize 3.0 and 3.5

My finished windspinner was about 17 cm/ 6.7 inches tall
and 9.75 cm/ 3.85 inches wide.

The level is intermediate.

Stitches and (US-) terms used in this pattern:

• foundation chain
• ch = chainstitch
• slst = slipstitch
• sc = single crochet
• hdc = half double crochet
• dc = double crochet
• trc = treble crochet
• incr = increase
