The Winona Polo is a lightweight oversized polo. Knit it in a solid color for a more classic look or with stripes for a personalized finish. Instructions for the two stripe designs (four-colors width varying widths and rugby-style stripes) are also included.

This pattern was first released on December 17, 2022 and an updated version was made available on November 30, 2023. The updated pattern has a tighter fit along the neckline and the collar has been adjusted slightly to avoid overlapping that occurs when the polo is fully buttoned. Additional changes include improved grading, fit, and overall clarity to the pattern.

SIZING
The Winona Polo is designed to have approximately 30-40% positive ease, meaning the circumference of the polo is 30-40% larger than your bust. If you are between sizes, I suggest sizing down as the pullover is already oversized.

For the four-colored stripe design with varying widths, you’ll need the following proportion of colors:

  • Beige: 15%
  • White: 25%
  • Reddish brown: 47%
  • Blue: 13%

For the rugby-style stripes, you’ll need this proportion of colors:

  • Teal: 62%
  • Beige: 8%
  • Reddish brown: 30%

To determine the amount of yarn you need for each color, multiply the percentage of each color by the amount of yarn required for the size you select.
