Through the vision of a hat design delicately adorned with star motifs and inspiration from Wool Days Scout yarn, the Winter Dusk Hat pattern has been created. I recommend knitting yours with Scout too, although any 100g skein of DK weight yarn from your stash will work. Perhaps surprisingly, the star motifs on this hat are performed without any cabling, making this hat quick and easy to knit. Winter Dusk will become your go-to accessory for chilly days, keeping you cozy and stylish whatever the occasion.

SIZE
50cm (19 ¾“) circumference, relaxed after blocking, fits head circumference 49–59cm (19 ¼–23 ¼”); 20cm (7 ¾“) long

YARN
Wool Days Scout (100% Merino Wool; 104m {114yd}/50g), 2 balls Winter’s Day colourway, or 100g of DK weight yarn

Sample used approximately 68g (142m {155yd}) for the hat, and approximately 12g (25m {28yds}) for the pom pom.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
3.75mm (US 5), at least 100cm (40”) length circular needle, double-pointed needles or short 40cm (16”) circular needle, or size to obtain gauge

GAUGE
22 stitches x 32 rounds = 10 cm (4”) in star pattern chart on 3.75 mm (US 5) needles, knit in the round, relaxed after blocking.
