Have you wanted to try mosaic knitting but are looking for the perfect project? These mittens will have you playing with color, without stranding to tangle you up. Mosaic patterns are knit with only one color at a time; stitches from previous rounds are slipped in order to create the designs. These mittens feature a mosaic chevron pattern that creates a gradient that can be bold or subtle, depending on you!

Sizes: Child (Adult S/M, Adult M/L)
Circumference: 6” (7.5”, 9”)
Hand Length: 6” (7”, 8.5”)
Cuff Length: 3” (4”, 4.5”)

Yarn Requirements
For all sizes, only two skeins of Palette are required; one of each color.

Needle Requirements
Pattern is worked in the round, using either DPNs or Magic Loop. Due to the nature of mosaic knitting, if you find that you are a tighter knitter, you may want to increase your needle size.

Reading Mosaic Charts
Reading mosaic charts is slightly different from reading other pattern charts. Although the round is only worked in one color, two colors are shown on any given row. The only color used on any given round is shown to the right of the round number; colors are switched every other round. Stitches indicated with the color used for that round are knit, stitches in the inactive color are slipped pwise. Slipped stitches are additionally indicated with a V. Follow the charts from bottom to top, reading each round from right to left.
