Perfect fitting knee high socks are like magic! This is my favorite vanilla sock pattern that I use for all of my toe-up socks. The pattern includes many different options for you to get the best fit including a Wedge Toe, Round Toe, Afterthought Heel, and Gusset Heel. Calf shaping instructions to make sure the leg doesn’t fall down. Brew up some magical socks!

Sizes / Sock Foot Circumference:
Sizes: Small (Medium, Large) / 7 (8, 9)” 17.8 (20.3 , 22.9) cm.
Choose to knit a size that has about ½” negative ease.

Gauge:
30 sts x 46 rnds = 4”/10.16 cm stockinette

Needles:
US 1 (2.25mm), 37” / 93cm circular needles or DPNs, or size needed to obtain gauge

Sock/Fingering

Knee High Sock: 465 yds/425m (530 yds/457 m, 600 yds/549 m)

Standard Ankle Sock: 300 yds/274 m (350 yds/320 m, 400 yds/366 m)
